The Saudi work visa is required for professionals who have received an official employment offer from a Saudi-registered company. It is issued under the sponsorship of a Saudi employer and lets you enter the Kingdom to work. After arrival, it is converted into a residence permit (Iqama).

Documents Required for a Saudi Work Visa (Dutch Applicants)
- Original passport with at least 6–12 months’ validity
- Two passport-size photographs with a white background
- Employment contract or official job offer letter from the Saudi employer
- Medical certificate
- Legalised educational certificates
- Police clearance certificate, attested and legalised
- Company letter
Saudi Work Visa Process from the Netherlands
- Employer obtains authorisation. Your Saudi employer secures the work authorisation approved by MOFA and MHRSD.
- Prepare and legalise your documents. We validate your file and handle attestation and legalisation.
- Complete your medical test. Visit an approved medical centre in the Netherlands.
- We submit to the Saudi Embassy in The Hague. Processing typically takes 7 to 10 working days once documents are ready and submitted.
- Enter Saudi Arabia. Your entry visa is valid for 90 days, and your employer then converts it into an Iqama.
What Happens After You Arrive in Saudi Arabia
Once you arrive, your sponsoring employer will:
- Register you in the Qiwa and GOSI systems
- Arrange a post-arrival medical examination
- Convert your entry visa to a residence permit (Iqama)
- Issue your health insurance and company employee ID
The Iqama is your official identification in Saudi Arabia and is required for all government, banking and residential processes.
