Saudi Work Visa for Indian Citizens and Residents
Saudi Work Visa from India
What Is the Saudi Work Visa?
A Saudi Work Visa allows an applicant with an approved Saudi employer to enter the Kingdom for employment. The visa is typically valid for 90 days for entry. After arrival, the employer converts it into a residence permit, known as an Iqama.
The visa is intended for professionals and skilled workers taking up long-term roles with a Saudi-registered company. This includes engineers, healthcare professionals, IT specialists, technicians, consultants and other skilled staff.
Who Can Apply for a Saudi Work Visa from India?
Indian citizens with a confirmed job offer or signed employment contract from a Saudi employer can apply. The employer must be registered and authorised to hire foreign workers, and must obtain the MOFA work authorisation before you apply.
Foreign residents of India can also apply if they hold a valid Indian residence permit and have a confirmed offer from a Saudi employer.
A confirmed job offer and employer sponsorship are mandatory. Indian citizenship or residency alone does not qualify you for a Saudi Work Visa.
