What Is the Saudi Family Visa?
A Saudi Family Visa allows eligible family members to join, or make a short visit to, a relative with valid employment or residency status in Saudi Arabia. There are two main types.
Family Visit Visa
The Family Visit Visa is for short-term stays, typically valid for up to 90 days. It can be extended to 180 days, subject to approval.
Family Residence Visa
The Family Residence Visa is for families settling in Saudi Arabia long-term with their sponsor.

Azerbaijani citizens and foreign residents of Azerbaijan can apply once their Saudi sponsor has secured MOFA family visa authorisation. The sponsor must hold a valid Iqama and meet the salary and profession requirements. The visa suits:
- Professionals in Saudi Arabia arranging relocation or travel for a spouse, children or other eligible dependents
- Families with an approved Saudi family sponsorship
- Dependents joining a family member with valid employment or residency status in Saudi Arabia

Documents Required for a Saudi Family Visa (Azerbaijani Applicants)
- Original passport with at least 6 months’ validity and at least 2 blank pages, plus copies of any previous Saudi visas
- Two passport-size photographs with a white background
- Completed visa application form, signed by the sponsor
- MOFA-approved invitation details, including the sponsor-issued family visa authorisation
- Copy of the sponsor’s Iqama (for residents) or Saudi ID (for citizens), and the sponsor’s passport
- Sponsor’s salary certificate and proof that their profession allows family sponsorship
- Proof of relationship, such as a marriage or birth certificate, attested and translated
- Valid Azerbaijan ID or residence permit
- Medical insurance
- Police clearance certificate

Saudi Family Visa Application Process from Azerbaijan

- Attest and translate your documents. Marriage and birth certificates are attested, legalised for use in Saudi Arabia and translated into Arabic or English.

- Travel to Saudi Arabia. Visit visa holders travel within the visa’s validity. Residence visa holders complete their Iqama after arrival.
