What Is the Saudi Family Visa?
A Saudi Family Visa allows eligible relatives to join immediate family members living in Saudi Arabia, either for a short visit or to relocate long-term. There are two main types.
Family Visit Visa
The Family Visit Visa is for short-term visits to a spouse, parent or child in Saudi Arabia. It allows stays of up to 90 days per entry and can be issued as single-entry or multiple-entry, depending on the sponsor’s request.
Family Residence Visa (Dependent Iqama Visa)
The Family Residence Visa is for dependents relocating to Saudi Arabia long-term. After arrival, dependents obtain their Iqama, the residence permit that gives them legal residency in the Kingdom.
Who Can Apply for a Saudi Family Visa from Singapore?
Singapore citizens and foreign residents legally living in Singapore can apply if an immediate family member lives or works legally in Saudi Arabia and is authorised to sponsor dependents or visitors.
Eligible applicants include spouses, children and other dependents. All applicants must provide the required documents in line with Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) regulations.

Documents Required for a Saudi Family Visa (Singapore Applicants)
- Original Singapore passport with at least 6 months’ validity
- Two passport-size photographs with a white background
- MOFA-approved family visa authorisation issued by the Saudi sponsor
- Copy of the sponsor’s Saudi ID or Iqama and passport
- Proof of relationship, such as a marriage or birth certificate, attested by Singapore authorities and the Saudi Embassy
- Proof of accommodation in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Family Visa Application Process from Singapore
- Sponsor obtains MOFA authorisation. Your family member in Saudi Arabia requests the family visa authorisation through MOFA. A spouse and dependent children can be included under one authorisation.
- Attest your documents. Relationship documents are attested by Singapore authorities and the Saudi Embassy.
- Submit your application. We submit to the Saudi Embassy or authorised visa processing centre in Singapore. Processing generally takes 5 to 10 working days.
- Travel to Saudi Arabia. Visit visa holders travel within the visa’s validity. Residence visa holders complete their Iqama after arrival.
